- Check bulletin for worship schedule and special events to prepare altar area accordingly.
- Offering plates are to be polished four times a year in March, June, September, and December.
- Dust altar and chancel furnishings and polish when needed.
- The small white microphone on the altar always stays on top of altar directly in front of altar where pastor/assistant stand.
- Leave missal stand and missal on the altar for all services. The chalice is always on the center cross of the altar linen with the missal stand to the right or left of the chalice.
- Clean and check the candle lighter, making sure he wicks are long enough. Wicks are stored in the cabinet above the sink. When replacing wcks, be sure to put the loose end of the wick to the inside, so that the end does not hang up in the slot.
- Unless otherwise instructed, acolytes, lay assistants, and communion assistants will wear a white cincture.
- When the altar parament is changed, there should be someone on each side of the altar.
- Make certain floor is clean. Vacuum carpet and sweep sacristies after the first Sunday of each month; mop sacristies as needed. Brush paraments and kneeling cushions as needed.
- The church office will handle cleaning of the paraments and kneeling cushions. Notify the church secretary if cleaning is needed.
- Remove flowers and vases from the altar to the sacristy following the 10:30 service the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. The usher will take flowers in the vases to the Chapel following the 10:30 service the 1st and 3rd Sunday's of the month to be used at the Sunday afternoon Chapel services.
- Remove bulletins from the sedelia following the 10:30 service.
- If there is a procession, move the cross and candles to th ushers clost in the narthex. Put bannrs in ushers' closet and baner stand in hancel if banner is being used. Return items after 10:30 service.
- Check church after wedding or Saturday funeral to make sure altar area is prepared for Sunday services.
- Keep sacristies neat and orderly.
- Be faithful in your duties and in our worship services.
- Check oil in candles and fill as needed.
- Chapel preparations weekly: Dust altar and furnishings; brushparaments as needed; change far linen as needed; check oil in candles.
