Welcome to St. Paul's
The best way to experience St. Paul’s is to come for worship. Some things you might like to know about our worship together: there are always ushers to help you find your way, we join in communal Confession and share Communion each Sunday, we have a wonderful music ministry to help us worship, and people stop to check-in or get to know each other right after worship at the church entrance.
If you have kids, be sure to bring them to Sunday School, 9:15-10:15am every Sunday. They gather in the little chapel right off the main entrance before dividing by age. You are welcome to join them in class if that makes them more comfortable.
St. Paul’s has two ramps leading into the Sanctuary area. And if you can’t make it down for the aisle for Communion, a minister will come to you. We also have a family restroom located in the entrance hall to make sure that everyone has access to a bathroom. This is wheel chair accessible as well.
Stop by our welcome center to find out where to go! Our Welcome Center is located at the entrance to the Sanctuary. You will be greeted by warm friendly smiles, donuts, and hot coffee. Our greeters will be happy to answer any questions you have and to help you find any of our classes and services.
St. Paul’s offers two worship Services each Sunday, 8:00am and 10:30am. These are blended worship services, except for the last Sunday of each month, at 10:30 a.m., where we worship in a relaxed, casual style, led by a Praise Team and a variety of instruments. Our blended services have something for everyone, varying music styles, liturgical styles reflective of the calendar, and open communion. We do sit, kneel, and stand during the service, but this is indicated in the bulletin and verbally directed by our pastors. St. Paul’s offers communion every Sunday, and all are welcome to partake.
St. Paul’s has designated visitor parking available. These spaces are marked with a yellow stripe, and the word “visitor,” and are located in our main parking lot. Additional parking is available in a small lot off 3rd St., and up and down Day St. and 3rd St.
Childcare is provided in the nursery located on the 1st Floor. Check in at the Welcome Center to have someone show you the way! Childcare is available during both services, and during the Sunday School time.
Other Ways to be Involved in St. Paul’s
There are lots of smaller groups that will help you feel more a part of the St. Paul’s family. Many of these you can read more about on our website—they include: Ramp Building (no experience required), Choir, Handbells, women’s sewing for Lutheran World Relief, youth group for 9th-12th grades, small group Adult Education, women’s circles, and various other service ministries within the church and community.
If you would like help getting connected to one of these groups, please call the office and talk with the pastors who will know how to help connect you.
Interested in becoming a member of St. Paul’s?
We ask all new members to have a series of conversations with the pastor about what it means to belong to the St. Paul’s community. This includes remembering the promises we make at baptism, being active in the life of the congregation and community, and learning about the Lutheran tradition within the greater Christian church. Please be in touch with Pr. Phil if you’d like to talk further about membership.
