Giving

In 2 Corinthians, Paul gives us a great reminder of the call of stewardship. He says these words: “The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not out of regret or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make every grace overflow in you, so that in every way, always having everything you need, you may excel in every good work.”    Corinthians 9:6-8

In Celebration of Deacon Katharine's Ordination

Katharine has chosen two outdoor ministries to highlight as the beneficiaries of her special offering. Outdoor ministry, and the unique settings, experiences, and relationships that form through camp, is a critical part of Christian faith formation.

Outdoor ministries are struggling financially right now as anticipated income was lost due to the necessary cancellation of programs and summer camps.

Our offering today will go to two Lutheran camps that have been fundamental in Katharine's faith journey: Lutherhill Ministries in La Grange, Texas and Agapé Kure Beach Ministries in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina.
